Feeling Fan-Tache-Tic! Movember Fundraising Success at Viatel Technology Group

This November, we were blown away by The Viatel Technology Group team’s commitment to Movember. Our Viatel Mo Brothers gave Tom Selleck a run for his money with their tache’s!

More importantly, as of 4 December, the Viatel team have raised a whopping €6,485 for the charity. In celebration of the fan-tache-tic efforts made by our Mo Brothers and Sisters, we’re sharing the importance of Movember and learning about what taking part means to some of our Viatel participants.

What is Movember?

n

Movember is an annual event that encourages men to grow a moustache during the month of November to raise awareness of men’s health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and men’s suicide. Since 2003, Movember has funded more than 1,250 men’s health projects around the world, challenging the status quo, shaking up men’s health research, and transforming the way health services reach and support men.

“However, they weren’t alone, their “Mo Sisters” were right beside them, encouraging them along the way – sharing their social media posts, engaging in mental health-related conversations, and of course donating to the overall fundraising total.

I am incredibly proud of the power of our community here at Viatel who continue to show us that they really do care deeply,” Annie added.

At Viatel Technology Group, we care deeply is one of our core values. One way we demonstrate our care for our communities is by fundraising throughout the year. Causes we’ve supported in 2023 include Laura Lynn, Milford Hospice, North West Hospice, TAYCOF and Barnardos’.
