Give us the highlights tour of your career to date

I have held marketing roles in tourism, recruitment and telecommunications going from Digital Marketing Exec to Senior Marketing Exec to Marketing Manager. Tourism is where I earned my web management wings. It involved so much fun event and festival experience. Recruitment was fast-paced and a lot more desk- based but I gained great experience in managing multiple brands across international teams. I joined telecommunications company Ripplecom in Limerick in 2017. Since the acquisition of Ripplecom, I have been lucky enough to move into the same role with Viatel.

What do you love most about working with Viatel?

The positive atmosphere and ‘can do’ attitude.

How generous people are with their time and their expertise.

How empowered individuals are within their roles/functions.

The fact that Converse are deemed acceptable business attire.

Tell us something we don’t know about you

I was supposed to be a solicitor.

I took a roundabout route into marketing. After graduating with a law degree, I started a research masters in constitutional history, then sat my entrance exams for Blackhall Place. I abandoned both to take a job tour guiding for six months. It morphed into a marketing role and I stayed for six years. I did eventually go back to college part-time and graduated top of my class with a Masters in Marketing and Management Strategy.
