Viatel Technology Group (Viatel) has announced the appointment of James Finglas as General Manager of their growing digital services division.
James joins Viatel from his role as Managing Director of MJ Flood Technology.
The acquisition by Viatel of MJ Flood Technology (announced in late April 2024) has now passed all requisite regulatory approvals clearing the path to combine two of Ireland's leading tech solutions providers.

This strategic move comes on the heels of Viatel's acquisition of MJ Flood Technology, a deal that has now received all requisite regulatory approvals, and promises to unleash unparalleled capability, and excellence in the Irish technology landscape.
Formerly the Managing Director of MJ Flood Technology, James brings over 26 years of experience of shaping that company into a multimillion-euro business known for excellence in cybersecurity, cloud migration, Microsoft telephony, and modern work solutions.

The acquisition of MJ Flood Technology is the ninth such deal by Viatel since 2020. It follows strategic investment by Macquarie Capital, announced in December 2023. Macquarie’s investment was earmarked to support the continued growth and expansion of the Viatel business in Ireland and overseas.
